The National University of Science and Technology International Conference for Engineering Sciences (NUSTPAS)
The National University of Science and Technology International Conference for Engineering Sciences (NUSTPAS) will be held at NUST University, Dhi-Qar, Iraq, on December 26-27, 2026. NUSTPAS is organized by NUST University (NUST) in cooperation with the University of Thi-Qar (University link). NUSTPAS aims to bring together all aspects and research works on a scientific platform to discuss the latest and new trends, and to establish a robust platform that fosters the presentation and in-depth discussion of cutting-edge research in Environmental, geotechnical, and construction engineering. This conference encompasses various civil engineering, surveying, and architectural engineering subjects. The event is a unique opportunity for academia and industry professionals to engage in dynamic dialogues, exchange the latest advancements in their fields, and build valuable connections. Participants can share innovative insights, form meaningful research and business alliances, and identify potential global partners for future collaborative endeavors. The conference is co-published by (Under Approval).

NUSTPAS invites researchers and postgraduate students to an open forum where advanced knowledge in environmental, geotechnical, and construction engineering can be shared.

NUSTPAS will feature a comprehensive technical program, including a fair number of workshops, symposia, and exhibitions on Engineering Sciences.

Paper Submission Guidelines

Submission Policy
NUSTPAS will not accept any paper which, at the time of submission, is under review, is accepted for publication, or has already been published in another conference or a journal. Authors are also expected not to submit their papers elsewhere during the NUSTPAS reviewing period.
Paper Requirements
Regular Papers: Each paper must include the abstract, figures, tables, and references.
All submitted articles should report original, previously unpublished research results, whether experimental or theoretical. Articles submitted to the conference must meet these criteria and must not be under consideration for publication elsewhere.
Formatting & Length
  • Font: Times New Roman, 10 pt (8 pt for EndNote and index).
  • Single-spaced text throughout the document.
  • Maximum length: 5000 words (including abstract and references).
  • Remove all double spaces using Find & Replace.
  • References must follow IEEE or Harvard style.
  • Images: JPEG format, 150 dpi, embedded in the Word file.
  • Consider page size: 115mm × 180mm.
Preparation Guidelines (Conference Proceeding Template)
Original unpublished research papers, articles, and working papers related to the conference theme are invited. Only original contributions with novel research results or innovative applications will be considered for publication in the conference proceedings.
  • Maximum length: 10 pages (A4 size).
  • Page limit after compliance: Minimum 08 pages, Maximum 09 pages.
  • Abstract: 150–200 words.
  • Keywords: 4–5.

  • Plagiarism must be less than 10% (excluding references); Turnitin report required.
  • AI-generated writing is strictly prohibited.
  • No grammatical or language errors are allowed.
  • Figures/tables must be original and high-resolution.

The author list and paper title in the submitted PDF must exactly match those in the registration system. Any mismatch may lead to rejection. The author list cannot be changed after acceptance.

Plagiarism Policy

Policy Overview
The NUSTPAS Conference follows strict anti-plagiarism policies. All submitted papers are checked using Crossref Similarity Check powered by Turnitin before being forwarded to the scientific committee for review. Any submission found to contain plagiarism may be rejected at any stage of the review or publication process.
Similarity Threshold
Authors are required to check their manuscripts using licensed plagiarism detection tools (e.g., Turnitin or Authenticate) before submission.
  • Total similarity must not exceed 18% (including self-content).
  • Proper citation and paraphrasing are mandatory.
Conference Screening
NUSTPAS screens every submission for plagiarism before peer review. Only papers that pass the similarity check are forwarded to the scientific committee.
Ethical Guidelines (Strict)
  • No plagiarism or self-plagiarism is allowed in any form.
  • Content taken from other sources must be properly paraphrased and cited.

Submission Requirements

General Policy
Articles submitted to the conference must meet all submission criteria and must not be under consideration for publication elsewhere. We firmly believe that ethical conduct is a fundamental principle of academic research. Any act of plagiarism or academic misconduct is strictly unacceptable and will not be tolerated.
Sanctions for Misconduct
If an author is found to have committed plagiarism or any form of academic misconduct, the conference reserves the right to take the following actions:

Peer Review Policy (Double-Blind)

The NUSTPAS conference follows a double-blind review process for all submitted papers. Each paper is initially screened using Turnitin Plagiarism Software. Papers that pass the similarity check are assigned by the Scientific Committee to 3–5 independent reviewers for evaluation using structured forms aligned with publishing standards.

Full Paper Submission Guidelines

Use Times New Roman, 10 pt for main text (endnotes/index: 8 pt). All text must be single-spaced. Maximum length: 5000 words including abstract and references.
Remove extra spacing: use Find & Replace to convert double spaces into single spaces until none remain.
References must follow the Harvard referencing style.
Images: Use JPEG for grayscale photos at minimum 150 dpi, embedded in the Word file. Ensure figures fit page size (115mm × 180mm) to avoid resizing issues.
All submissions will undergo Double-Blind Peer Review. Authors must complete revisions within the given timeframe to remain eligible for proceedings consideration.
Note: Ensure that your manuscript complies with the stated formatting rules before submission to avoid delays during review and proceedings preparation.

To ensure that accepted and recommended manuscripts are clear, accurate, and professionally presented, papers referred for proofreading and editing services are subject to a separate service fee based on the total number of words. These services are intended to improve language quality and ensure that the manuscript fully complies with the required formatting and referencing standards.

  • 2 Editing: improvement of clarity, sentence structure, flow, readability, and academic writing style.

About The National University of Science and Technology
It is a private university located in the city of Nasiriyah in Iraq It is private university located in Dhi Qar Governorate, a foundation license based on the provisions of Article (5) Clause I of the Private Universities and Colleges Law No. (13) for the year 1996 as amended and according to the Cabinet General Secretariat No.
(GHZ / 10/1/8/14930) on 5/5/2014 and accordingly, the Ministry of Higher Education granted a foundation license according to Ministerial Order No. (TEA / 3630) on 11/30/2015 The university includes the following colleges: College of Dentistry College of Pharmacy College of Nursing The bnuiuhyu degrees and advanced competencies. Thus, the university is considered one of the sober scientific edifices in the country.
The National University of Science and Technology has an area of about 7700 square meters and green areas of about 1,500 square meters
The number of laboratories is 28, 3 clinics, and 43 classrooms.
It is my pleasure to welcome you to the website of the National University of Science and Technology, which was established in 2015 in Dhi Qar Governorate located in southern Iraq and is the cradle of Sumerian civilization. The university has set its sights on building the student’s personality, providing him with knowledge and skills, and promoting the spirit of research, creativity, and noble human values, all through Refining the student’s personality because it is an effective and influential element in a fast and constantly renewed world. The university is keen to communicate with the sober Iraqi, Arab and international universities in all scientific axes in pursuit of excellence and access and reach the ranks of those universities.
The university is keen to achieve educational outcomes with the needs of the labor market, which demands a high degree of distinction and creativity linked to the student’s desire for education to take its role in developing and adhering to international quality standards and keeping pace with the industrial, medical and cognitive revolution and the requirements of artificial intelligence to graduate creative students familiar with modern technologies.
